week 2
BODY DETOX
Now that you’ve begun creating a calm, decluttered mind, it’s time to get down to business with your Week 2 Body Detox!
In this week’s lesson I share my tips for how to do a safe, simple 7-day detox* at home, without any crazy ingredients, and importantly how to sustain your progress over the rest of your detox program.
*I am not a nutritionist, dietician, or medical doctor. Before starting any new dietary regime, please consult with your primary care physician or a medical doctor to ensure it is safe for you to follow.
Why should we detoxify our bodies?
Talk about how our systems get overloaded; liver function impaired, increased inflammation, build-up, etc.
Talk about crowding out, simple to follow detox rules as well asn the importance of drinking water throughout.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
how to start your week 2 body detox
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Unlimited organic vegetables.
1-2 pieces of the following organic fruit: all berries.
High quality protein sources including wild-caught fish, free-range chicken, grass-fed beef, organic sprouted tofu, etc.
Drink lots of water, at least half your body weight in ounces (e.g. if you weigh 150lbs, you should aim for 75 oz of water daily).
Move your body regularly.
REDUCE/EXCLUDE:
No alcohol. (Sorry not sorry!) Alcohol is inflammatory and taxes your liver, so it’s super important during this detox program that you refrain from consuming alcohol.
Reduce caffeine intake. Aim for green tea or matcha. If you can’t cut out coffee completely, limit yourself to 1-2 cups per day in the morning.
There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
